Platform Engineer
(San Francisco Bay Area, On-site)
Hey!
We are a small, technologically aggressive startup building web-based AI agents that interact with the web through the browser just like people do.
We believe that the web pages are a universal interface: throughout history, businesses have evolved from brick-and-mortar to web, then from mobile and social to SaaS. Now, agents are here. Just as with generative AI , building on the right infrastructure is key to widely enable people to benefit from this new technology. We are here to build the foundation on which web agents will operate to transform digital experiences.
The Role :
To support growth coming from the increase in demand for generalist agents, we are looking for third technical member to join our team. You will join two other engineers that have >30 years of cumulative software and ML experience. When we say technologically aggressive, we mean it, Silverstream is an AI first environment, we are giving ourselves broad access to the latest technology and the best tools to bring our agents to life, in an exponentially accelerating world we are leaving friction and slowness to the FANG where they belongs.
What You’ll Do:
- You will take the lead and ownership of our V1 platform, as we deploy more and more agents in the wild, we need to maintain reliability.
- We enable our customers and partners to leverage our agents through APIs, you will design and build the full-stack infrastructure, giving developers easy access to our web-browser AI agents and related products.
- You will support our effort to enable agents to understand the internet, at internet scale. The infrastructure necessary to support browser-based agents at a global level will require large-scale indexing, caching, data gathering and high availability.
- You’ll work with us to keep our tech and business goals in sync, pushing forward new ideas for both the product and infrastructure.
Must Haves :
- Built API platforms from scratch: You have built API platforms from scratch and know how to design systems that are scalable, efficient, and perform well.
- Experience with large-scale systems: You have handled high-traffic systems before, and know how to keep things running smoothly even when the pressure is on
- Strong engineering culture: You care about code quality, best practices, and building high-quality, maintainable products.
